Photoshop CS2 Slows Down my Computer?

Whenever I open the program by its self (I never open more then one window when using it)it takes forever to load, also when coloring or using the tools it will either skip the task i just did or take forever to show up on the page, is there something wrong with it or is it my computer? If it is my computer can someone help me out?
