If fascism is left wing why do all current fascist groups around the world identify themselves as right wing?

The BNP in the UK, Freedom party in the Netherlands, National Front in France all admit they are right wing parties. All neo nazi groups in the world identify as right and single out leftists as their main enemy. The only opposition to fascism comes from the left. So why do cons still push this outright lie that fascism is left wing when all the facts suggest otherwise? Do you enjoy being a complete moron with no grasp of political or historical context?
