Pet names in Persian for my boyfriend? The sappier the better!?

Ok, well I tried fereshte and he said it doesn't really translate as a pet name, in fact he says Persians really don't have pet names, which I fail to believe. Can a native speaker please tell me some pet names in Farsi, or any sappy phrases I could tell him? Thanks! ; )
