Why would my foal be responding aggresively?

YOU ARE NOT IN CHARGE IN THIS SITUATION! and she knows it. shes telling you to move and i am guessing when she kicked out you moved?? my filly was very bad about this at 5 months old (when they start testing the ropes) i use to take and chase her away from me like a dominate mare would in the heard. " ENEOUGH IS ENEOUGH IM THE BOSS NOT YOU!" never would i hit her. i would use a lunge whip so i stay out of kickin distance! most of the times i would crack it and she would run! then once she has settled walk over to her if she pins her ears again do it over "NEVER HITTING HER"
