What is the best way to train a puppy to sleep in a kennel cab @ night? Plz read on?

I just got a puppy that's 6 weeks old. The 1stnight he slept in bed w/my sister & the 2nd night he slept w/me. I knw this isnt good, but I didnt have 1 of those kennel cabs yet & couldnt let him run around in a strange house, doing lord knws what all night. Plus he was really nervous & scared. The nxt night, I tried to barracade off an area (a corner of the living room where his soft bed, food & Purina puppy litter box are). I dont have $$ 4 a fence right now. He didnt whine, but he kept getting out of the section I'd blocked off & my sister saw him & felt sorry for him after 1/2 the night & took him in her room. Well, my boyfriend got me a kennel w/a door. So tonight I tried it. Earlier, I propped the door open & let him go in w/out shutting it, so he'd get used to. Well, after the door was closed, he did more than whine. He whaled, screamed, kept ramming agnst the cage door, scared to death as if there's bad memories. This went on till I had to get him out. How can I make this work?
