Is China a disgrace, was it wrong to give them the Olympics ?

So ok, China is fast becoming the most powerfull country in the world, however are they not a disgracefull nation with vile Human Rights atrocities ? Was it wrong to give such a disgracefull country the Olympic Games, think about Tibet, do you think they believe China deserves any worldly understanding ?....
